"Spanish is not a sexist language; the use we are taught to make of it is".

Noemí Blazquez Benito, feminist and political scientist, invites us to a talk-colloquium on inclusive language that will take place on Monday 20 June at 19h at the Albatros Bookshop (Rue Charles-Humbert 6, 1205, Geneva).

"Language builds thought, and the demand for the use of an inclusive language where all people who speak to each other feel supported, represented and agreed upon is fundamental.

Inclusive language is not about adding o's and a's and repeating words unnecessarily. The proposal being made in many areas is to rethink the need to communicate without ignoring important and numerous parts of the population and, above all, without offending".

After the talk, we will hold the raffle draw for the solidarity raffle for the schooling of 13 children in Senegal. For more information and a list of prizes, please click on the following link:

The activity will be in Spanish and is free of charge (and you will have a final chance to buy tickets for the raffle!).
