L'Auberge est extrêmement reconnaissante d'accueillir l'excellent musicien et compositeur FREDERIC BOREY ainsi que son trio BUTTERFLIES avec comme invité le très grand LIONEL LOUEKE.

Avec ce nouvel album chez Fresh Sound Records, le 8eme en tant que leader, Frederic Borey allie ambition, musicalité et amitié.
Suite à leur 1er disque (©2019), et près de 80 concerts depuis 2018, le BUTTERFLIES Trio a construit, ensemble et avec le public, une relation forte. Fort de cette complicité humaine et musicale, il rêve en grand et décide, dans ce second disque, d'inviter Lionel Loueke, musicien de classe internationale (Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Dave Holland, Charlie Haden, Joe Lovano, Chris Potter, Esperanda Spalding, Robert Glasper, Sting, Gretchen Parlato…) et ami fidèle rencontré il y a 26 ans.
Cette idée est venue d’une envie collective, celle de se ‘renouveler’. Le trio est le socle qui nous définit, et autour duquel nous pensons intéressant (pour nous même et pour le public) de créer en permanence, s’amuser, se bousculer, innover. Cela rejoint également la volonté de garder une certaine forme de spontanéité, d’improvisation, de surprise liée à la tradition de notre musique, le jazz.

Strengthened by this human and musical complicity, he dreams big and decides, in this second record, to invite Lionel Loueke, musician of international class (Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Dave Holland, Charlie Haden, Joe Lovano, Chris Potter, Esperanda Spalding, Robert Glasper, Sting, Gretchen Parlato...) and faithful friend met 26 years ago.
This idea came from a collective desire to 'renew' ourselves. The trio is the base which defines us, and around which we think interesting (for us and for the public) to create permanently, to have fun, to hustle, to innovate. It also joins the will to keep a certain form of spontaneity, of improvisation, of surprise linked to the tradition of our music, the jazz.
The Butterflies Trio invites Lionel Loueke and flutter together, just like their complicity.
"That's all we try to be, 4 butterflies that meet and fly together for the time of a dance".
