La cérémonie d’ouverture de la troisième édition du Festival International du Film sur la Migration se déroulera le 28 novembre au Graduate Institute de Genève.

Lena (17 ans) rencontre un jeune musulman de 19 ans, Farid. Elle a une attitude très claire envers sa culture et sa religion : un rejet absolu. Malgré leurs différences – ou peut-être à cause de celles-ci – ils tombent amoureux. Quand Lena tombe enceinte sans le chercher, ils doivent s’engager pour eux et leur enfant. La mère de Lena, Hanna, est furieuse car elle réalise que sa fille doit épouser un homme musulman – inconcevable aussi bien pour elle que pour la famille de Farid. Un couple destiné à être coincé entre deux mondes, traditions, religions, contradictions et préjugés.

Lena (17) meets 19-year-old Farid, a young Muslim. She has a clear-cut attitude towards his culture and religion: utter rejection. Despite their differences - or perhaps because of them - they fall in love. When Lena unexpectedly gets pregnant the two of them must make a pledge to each other and their child. Hannah, Lena's mother, sees red, realizing this means her daughter will be expected to marry a Muslim man - unfathomable both to her and to Farid's family. A couple destined to be together stuck between worlds, traditions, religion, contradictions and prejudices.

Para Hannah, la madre de Lena, es una alerta roja, se da cuenta lo que significa que su hija se case con un hombre musulmán, inconcebible tanto para ella como para la familia de Farid. Una pareja destinada a estar juntos, aunque atrapados entre dos mundos, tradiciones, religión, contradicciones y prejuicios.
