Narrated by Academy Award Winners Sissy Spacek and Herbie Hancock, River of Gold is the disturbing account of a clandestine journey into Peru’s Amazon rainforest to uncover the savage unraveling of the pristine jungle.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with
- Ms. Sarah DuPont, Film producer, President and Founder of the Amazon Aid Foundation
- Mr. Charles Chaussepied, Former Director CSR and Corporate Affairs, Piaget, and Board Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council
- Mr. Casper Edmonds, Head of the Extractives, Energy and Manufacturing Unit, International Labour Organization
- A representative of the Minamata Convention on Mercury, UN Environment.

Raconté par Sissy Spacek et Herbie Hancock, tous deux lauréats d’un Oscar, River of Gold présente le constat dérangeant de la lente destruction de la jungle péruvienne et de son écosystème, perpétrée par les chercheurs d’or, et dévoilée au fil d'un voyage clandestin dans la forêt amazonienne.
La projection sera suivie d’une discussion avec :
- Mme Sarah DuPont, Productrice du Film, Présidente et fondatrice de la Fondation Amazon Aid
- M. Charles Chaussepied, Ancien directeur de la CSR et des affaires corporatives, Piaget, et membre du conseil d'administration du « Responsible Jewellery Council »
- M. Casper Edmonds, Chef de l’Unité Secteur manufacturier et mines, Organisation internationale du travail
- Un représentant de la Convention de Minamata sur le mercure, ONU Environnement.
