Vendredi 6 de Avril nous avons le plaisir de recevoir pour la 2eme fois à Genève Forro de KA que vient direct de Karlsruhe, qui va nous aporter l'auténtique et originale Forró Pé de Serra (la racine du forro).

Biografie
Forró de KA
O projeto do flautista Vítor Diniz e do cantor e compositor Ítalo Nalyson teve como pontapé inicial uma apresentação no Forró de Domingo em Stuttgart, a festa de forró mais tradicional da Alemanha, comemorando o aniversário de Luiz Gonzaga no final de 2010. O próximo passo foi encontrar outros músicos que dividissem os mesmos ideais. O primeiro a se juntar ao grupo foi o percussionista Xedi Dias, que conheceu o duo em uma apresentação em Heidelberg. Ele por sua vez, apresentou o amigo e também percussionista Walney Oliveira para complementar o grupo. Com a chegada na Alemanha do baixista Cristiano Matos e do sanfoneiro Alex Almeida, companheiros musicais de Ítalo de longa data, a banda estava enfim completa.
O nome 'Forró de KA' é um jogo de palavras que brinca com a abreviatura da cidade alemã Karlsruhe, lar atual da banda, e com o som da palavra em português - cá.
Quebrar barreiras é uma forte característica da banda, que busca uma linguagem própria, onde a tradição e a modernidade livremente dialogam. A singularidade e a criatividade do grupo vêm à tona quando, além dos clássicos do forró pé-de-serra, eles interpretam composições próprias e ousam, adaptando sucessos internacionais ao forró.
A banda Forró de KA já foi atração dos festivais de forró de Stuttgart e Freiburg, do Tollwood Festival em Munique e do Festival de Cultura Africana em Frankfurt, além de ter tocado na sala de concertos Tollhaus em Karlsruhe
The band Forró de KA has been livening dance floors across Europe with its distinguishable sound for the past five years; enough time to allow the ensemble’ passion for music to unmistakably bind its name to the fusion of different rhythms and languages.
The name 'Forró de KA' is a play on the abbreviation of the German city, Karlsruhe (KA), the band’s hometown, and the sound of the word cá, in Portuguese, which is a way to say here.
The group was born from both homesickness and the willingness of the two Brazilian musicians, Ítalo Caramuru and Vítor Diniz, to keep in touch with their background, as they realized their common passion for the Forró music style.
Breaking barriers is one of the band’s major characteristics, noticeable in its quest for a language and expression of its own, where tradition and innovation merge in a harmonic dialogue. The group's uniqueness and creativity is most apparent when, in addition to the classic forró pé-de-serra, their own compositions take the center of the stage, pushing the setlist beyond the expected by adapting a variety of famous international composition to forró.
The kick-off for the Forró de KA project was given at Germany's most traditional forró party, Forró de Domingo, in Stuttgart by the end of 2010, which was organized to celebrate Luiz Gonzaga’s 98th birthday, the famous King of Baião.
In 2013, at the very same festival, the band made the transition from the old lineup, composed by the Caramuru's guitar, to Alex Almeida's accordion. Throughout the years the band went through several modifications and, aside from its three founding members, it has nowadays the percussionist, Mário Maradei, and the bassist, Johann Oliveira, as part of the vibrant group.
Forró de KA has bought its enthusiasm and music to several festivals, such as the forró festivals of Stuttgart, Freiburg, Aachen and Weggis, as well as 'Tollwood Festival' in Munich, 'Festival of African Culture' in Frankfurt, 'Festival of People´s Understanding' and 'Das Fest' in Karlsruhe, not to mention concerts in London and Zurich.
In the summer of 2017, Forró de KA will proudly present its first album.
