Mural Live Drawing - 12th and 13th Sept 2017 from 10:00
"Line by Line" is a solo show by the artist "of atoms and lines" (aka Jelena Ristic) and shows a range of drawings that focus on the relationship between movement and space.
Her works explore the mathematical model of spacetime and combine it with the concept of clinamens; a term for the unpredictability of atoms introduced by the Roman poet Lucretius in his poem “De Rerum Natura”. The deliberate reduction to black lines allows a clearer visual exploration of the main concept: how motion shapes space and how space influences motion. The intention is to make the eye follow and get lost – to create a certain sense of calm chaos within mathematical order.
In addition to the shown work, a 3,5m by 8m mural will be created on the 12th and 13th of September as interactive part of the exhibition. Visitors are warmly welcome to come by during the live drawing of the mural.

"Line by Line" est une exposition personnelle de l'artiste "des atomes et des lignes" (aka Jelena Ristic) et montre une gamme de dessins qui se concentrent sur la relation entre le mouvement et l'espace.
Ses travaux explorent le modèle mathématique de l'espace-temps et le combinent avec le concept de clinamens; un terme pour l'imprévisibilité des atomes introduit par le poète roman Lucrétius dans son poème "De Rerum Natura".
La réduction délibérée des lignes noires permet une exploration visuelle plus claire du concept principal: comment le mouvement forme l'espace et la façon dont l'espace influence le mouvement. L'intention est de faire suivre les yeux et de se perdre - pour créer un certain sens du chaos calme dans l'ordre mathématique.
En plus du travail montré, une peinture murale de 3,5 m sur 8 m sera créée les 12 et 13 septembre en tant qu'élément interactif de l'exposition. Les visiteurs sont chaleureusement accueillis lors du dessin en direct de la peinture murale.
