Born and raised in the early 80’s somewhere in a « Non European » small country in the middle of Europe, Vincent Dubuis fell immediately in love with every art form and specially music.

After his teenage years being part and involve in the heyday of the rock scene in Lausanne in the late 90s as a drummer in several bands (In Between - Opium - Makiladora), Vincent trades his name for Vinny Ill. And he's now alone.

Songwriter, this control freak, just needed a long musical break. Break dedicated to the discovery of the practice of theater, stage, film, drama.
Feeded by these new influences, he developed his writing and take the time to record his first demos, using summary material, because according to him, "the stress develops creativity," and arrange his compositions, alone in his flat using what falls into his hands (Guitars,Typewriters, Canvas, Metal Cans, Scissors…)

Storyteller, his pieces are all often tragic, dark stories, but never wanting to sink into pathos, always funny or ironic. Musically he lies somewhere between Blues Folk Jazz, Rock’n'Roll, Tango, Punk…
refusing to be limited to a single category, his music could be define as Blues Punk Cabaret.

The absurd, the desire and need for solitude, social phobias, feelings of inability to live with others, schizophrenia, cohabitation with himself and his demons and the tools to overpass, namely drunkenness , smashes, death, alcohol, sex, love, therapies are thematic and marginal world in which his characters evolve made of flesh and bone. More interested in the memories that we keep of the events and people that what they become today.
