Pour notre premier evenement de 2017, nous avons le grand plaisir de recevoir pour la 2eme fois à Genève le group BAIÃO BRASIL.

Biographie:
BAIÃO BRASIL is a music band founded by DENIS FERREIRA in 2008. He belongs to a new Brazilian generation of artists who originated a modern musical movement in Brazil called FORRÓ UNIVERSITARIO. As a singer, musician, composer, producer and music supervisor, DENIS FERREIRA has an extensive career, mostly devoted to disseminating FORRÓ’s style. He has also developed his technique for playing many other Brazilian rhythms.
Established in BARCELONA, BAIÃO BRASIL has brought the rich rhythm of northeast Brazil to this city.
The band plays both a representative and varied set list of songs, which contains both original songs and the emblematic ones composed by iconic musicians such as Jackson do Pandeiro, Luis Gonzaga and Alceu Valença. BAIÃO BRASIL's live show bring's to the the audience a richness of rhythms such as côco, chote or chachado among others.
BAIÃO BRASIL´s members belong to a young generation with plenty to say, and a wide knowledge of all Brazilian folk music styles.
BAIÃO BRASIL have spreaded FORRÓ’s experience everywhere in Spain. The band has taken part on the Diversons Tour, a cycle of concerts organized by “La Caixa” Foundation, playing in more than thirty Spanish cities and also in the most prominent World Music Spanish festivals such as ETNOSUR (ANDALUCIA) , MUDUMIRA (Bask Country) and BRAZILIAN DAY (BARCELONA / CATALONIA).
In 2012 BAIÃO BRASIL releases its first album called "FORRÓ MUSIC", intending to bring FORRÓ’s music, dance and culture to the most representative WORLD MUSIC FESTIVALS of EUROPE. The band is an authentic reference representing the forró gender constantly performing in countries as France, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Russia, UK, Switzerland among others.
In 2016 BAIÃO BRASIL is organizing the 3º BARCELONA FORRÓ FESTIVAL -PISA NA FULÔ
