Maurice Fulton, one of house music’s true originals. It’s hard to put a fine point on Maurice Fulton’s long, fragmented, illustrious production career. Across 20 years, under an array of aliases, Fulton was at the vanguard of the UK’s proto-techno house wave; made weird and wonderful techno as part of Syclops; and produced exotic leftfield oddities as Boof, including a revered recent album for Gerd Janson’s Running Back.
As a DJ, Fulton is one of the very finest dance music has to offer, a whirling dervish of house, disco, techno and everything else, mixed fast and fearlessly. Quite simply, Maurice Fulton is the genuine article, a dance music savant.
