Deep & Tech House

*** Biographie ***
Ben O’Connor & Jon Verde both hail from the North West of England, they were born in the 1980’s and raised in the 90’s on a healthy diet of 80’s Synth Pop, Acid House and Techno. For the last few years they’ve been cutting their production teeth recording under a different name but now they’ve dropped the alias to deliver a new sound.

2015 was a breakthrough year that saw the duo joining up with clubbing giant Ministry of Sound on several of their international shows. It was also the year they dropped the monster track “That’s Right”on Underground Audio. A record that earned itself over 15 weeks of continuous support on BBC Radio 1 with plays from Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Pete Tong. It also gained them a huge amount of DJ support with the likes of Hot Since 82, Steve Lawler, Richy Ahmed, Davide Squillace, Reboot, Christoph, Amine Edge & DANCE, Wehbba, Paco Osuna, Detlef, Anek, Jay Lumen, Andre Crom, Denney, Miguel Campbell and many more featuring their music in DJ sets.

This interest has led to a string of remixes that include the Pete Tong supported, Après Feat. Andrea Martin – This Ain’t Love [Love & Other] and Per QX & Paramour –Ready 4 This [Glasgow Underground]

Summer 2016 will see the release of the first of several new OC & Verde tracks on Knee Deep in Sound. Having already kicked off with Symphony, that featured on the Knee Deep Miami Sampler.

The duo then followed up with the hugely anticipated Maasai EP which was Pete Tongs Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1! Both tracks on the EP were heavily supported by Knee Deep In Sound label boss Hot Since 82 and a host of other A List Dj’s like John Digweed, Sasha, Steve Lawler, Solomun and Kolsch to name a few… the track broke into the Beatport Top 10 and stayed there for several weeks and was supported heavily on Radio 1 by Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Annie Mac for over 5 weeks the highlight being the closing track on the BBC Radio 1 weekend in ibiza for Pete Tong and Kolsch’s B2B set live at Ushuaia!

The duo are now working on remixes for a number of labels, the first to see the light of day being a remix for Glasgow Underground Label boss Kevin McKay and Selador label boss Dave Seaman, with a remix for John Digweed's Bedrock Records coming later in the year.

Further EP’s are forthcoming on Knee Deep In Sound before the end of the year and the guys are currently working on an album for Knee Deep In Sounds ‘8-Track’ project due for release early 2017
