Daan Roosegaarde will demonstrate how the interplay between art, technology and ideology can be used to make the world a better, pret- tier and more livable place. As the creator of interactive landscapes such as the Smog Free Tower in Beijing and Rotterdam and Water Light in Amsterdam, Mr Roosegaarde believes we are witnessing the birth of a new environmental awareness. In his lecture he will confront us with the human impact on nature and vice versa, not only talking about the origins of his inspiration, but also engaging in a discussion that will make you leave the room with new insights. Be ready to be confront- ed, seduced, and engaged by this “Techno Poet” who knows how to connect old values with new values in unexpected ways.
