"Trente ans après sa première performance au Centre, Joan Jonas présente quatre installations récentes. Figure emblématique qui s’est affirmée au sein de la scène artistique new-yorkaise à la fin des années 1960, elle a influencé les générations suivantes d’artistes du monde entier. Les oeuvres exposées interrogent l’identité et mélangent la performance, l’installation et la vidéo, en explorant les domaines de la mythologie, des rituels et des contes.

Thirty years after her first performance at the Centre, Joan Jonas presents four recent installations. An emblematic figure that came to the attention of the New York art scene in the late 1960s, she has influenced subsequent generations of artists worldwide. The exhibited works question identity and meld performance, installation and video, exploring the fields of mythology, rituals and story-telling."
